OUR FOUNDATION

Located on the Hamakua coast of the Big Island, Maluliku General Contracting is a firm with over 25 years of experience. Our beginning takes us back to the small plantation town of Laupahoehoe. The lessons of hard work, honesty, and service to others is what we gleaned from our upbringing. As we started our business, these three attributes were interwoven into our business model and impressed upon our employees. Haunga General Contracting originally started back in 2009. We have now grown our family operated company, and as of 2022 we will be known as Maluliku General Contracting to accommodate and facilitate this growth.

"Malu" and "Liku", are both the names of the the two sons that will continue the family business. Our working experience has taken us across the Hawaiian Islands for our commercial work. The Hamakua Coast has been the main focus area of our residential builds. Our relationships with our clientele goes deep, as deep as the rich soils and firm foundations that are key requirements here along the Hamakua Coast. Our working relationships with the friends and families that we service are typically multigenerational. For both our clients that choose to call this coast home and for our team whose origins are seeded deeply along Hamakua, it is evident as we construct 2nd, 3rd, and even 4th homes for our homeowners.
